Reviving a sleeping beauty

Rome was born on the banks of the Tiber river, the city uses it for commerce and soon become the prosperous capital of the Roman empire. But soon the river began to lose its connexion with the inhabitants of the eternal city. The unpredictable nature of the river has quickly prompted the Romans to manage its floods and for that sealed its fate from a burden to a to a forgettable neighbor. Tall walls enclose the river from its counterpart, the city. Soon the Romans began to forget the river, its banks became deserted, degrading and fading to almost completely disappearing from the Roman landscape.
